Thank You,
NM Nation!

The Huskies season was ended one win short of a trip to Volcanoes Stadium, as North Marion dropped a 7-2 semifinal decision vs. the No. 1 seeded Sisters Outlaws on Tuesday.

The amount of fans who made the trek to Central Oregon was truly unbelievable to see.  Thank you for your support Tuesday and throughout the entire season.  We are proud to say we have the best fans in the state.

Season Highlights

  • North Marion claims Tri-Valley Conference Championship for 2nd straight yr
  • Nine Huskies are selected in all league voting
  • Kyle Williamson wins back-to-back player of the year in the conference
  • Three Huskies are selected for all-state (Williamson, Breshears, Wampole)
  • First semifinal appearance since 2005, tenth in school history
  • 10-1 non-conference record, best in state, wins over 5A & 6A schools
  • Two huge playoff wins over Hidden Valley (by 6) and La Grande (by 9)
  • Pitching staff allows third-fewest runs in state
  • Huskies are high school team of the week in late May

Ending a Career
Three North Marion players stepped off the field for the last time in their high school careers, and they will be greatly missed.
  • Kyle Williamson solidified his place as a Husky great with his offensive prowess.  He was selected as back-to-back conference player of the year, and selected as a first team all-state member for two seasons.  Kyle batted over .500 in his senior season.
  • Tristan Wampole was a two-year all-state honoree and an anchor in the Huskies lineup for three seasons.  His consistent play at first base was well documented, especially in his final two years.
  • Brock Breshears was also a two-year all-state honoree and the conference pitcher of the year his junior year.  Brock's 0.58 ERA in conference play as a senior will go down as one of the best marks - if not the best mark - in North Marion history.

Andy Jones' final event as North Marion HS Athletic Director.  He will be missed at the high school.
